Chief Engineer
Since 2016 Vitaly Kuchanov is the Chief Engineer of COTES Engineering LLC, being responsible for the successful completion of all major projects of the Company. His scope of responsibilities covers project management, observance of deadlines and quality assurance.
Vitaly Kuchanov has been working in the power generation industry since 2003. His professional life was started at the position of a commissioning and testing engineer in Sibenergomontazhnaladka LLC (2003 to 2008). From 2008 to 2009 he was the Heat Engineering Department engineer in E4-SibCOTES CJSC. Because of his personal engagement as a designer, the company has completed such projects as Detailed Documentation Development for 410 MW CCGT unit construction at Krasnodarskata CHP plant and Construction Design for 450 MW CCGT at Severnaya CHP plant.
From 2009 to 2016 he worked for COTES CJSC. Once employed by the Company as the 2nd-degree engineer of the Power Facilities Design Department, in 2011 Vitaly Kuchanov was promoted to the Deputy Chief Project Engineer, and later to the Chief Project Engineer in such projects, as Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1 Power Unit No.2 Rehabilitation, Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1 Switchyard 500 Refurbishment, Detailed Documentation Development for two 440 MW CCGTs at CHP-5 plant (Zatonskaya CHP plant) in Ufa. Since 2014 Vitaly Kuchanov has been heading COTES CJSC Project Management department.
Vitaly Kuchanov graduated from the Novosibirsk State Technical University in Thermal Power Plants discipline (engineer). In 2011 he studied in the Institute of Further Training and Competence Development for Managers and Professionals in Saint Petersburg State Transport University under the Project Work Organization program. In 2015 he completed the Responsibilities of the Owner and Developer program. In 2016 he was trained by PM Expert under the “Company Projects Management on the basis of PMI PMBOK Guide 5th Edition (2012) standard” program.
