Off-grade coal combustion at the Vorkutinskiye CHP plants

COTES Engineering performed pilot combustion with off-grade coal for the needs of OOO Vorkutinskiye CHP plants (affiliated with PAO T-PLUS). COTES professionals performed the combustion with highly moist gas fat meager coal of the rice/culm grade in 9 CHP-2 plant boilers. Tests were carried out in three types of boilers: Tests were carried out in three types of boilers: TP-170-1, BKZ-160-100, BKZ-22-100-4. As a result, COTES engineers issued recommendations for off-grade coal combustion in existing boilers, and proposed engineering solutions for reliable and cost-efficient operation through the use of such coals, and made cost estimates for such relevant works on a turnkey basis.
