In November 2019, the COTES Engineering team started designing a soda recovery boiler SRB-4 (2200 tonnes of asv/hour) as part of the construction of a new cardboard mill in Ust-Ilimsk. The scope of work of COTES includes the design of a part of the building structures and engineering systems of the SRB-4 building, systems for collecting returned condensate from all production facilities and the existing boiler and turbine room, design of a diesel facility for SRB-4, as well as sections of underground communications and an overpass between the diesel facility and the SRB-4.
COTES, Poyry, Sibgiprobum, ADVIS PLUS, as well as equipment manufacturers Andritz, Voith, Valmet, Siemens are working on the cardboard mill project.
As part of the construction of the cardboard mill, a new cardboard machine, a vacuum evaporator, a pulping and washing facility, and a warehouse for finished products and many auxiliary buildings and structures will be designed and installed. One of the features of the new plant is the facilities location. The objects are not connected into blocks, as was the case at the Ust-Ilimsk site, but are located separately with interconnection by transitional galleries.
By now, the COTES team has completed the development of thermal engineering, thermal mechanical and construction solutions. The company is developing electrical solutions, communications and instrumentation, and also field supervision at the construction site. COTES Engineering plans to complete its part of the design work in November 2020.
