COTES Has Received a Positive Expert Review Opinion for the Project of Technical Refurbishment of Turbine Units at CHPP in Seversk

COTES Engineering has received a positive expert opinions from the State Corporation Rosatom and the industrial safety review under the project “Technical Refurbishment of CHPP of the Affiliate Branch of AO “RIR” in Seversk. Installation of Turbines of PR-30/35-90/10/1,2 Type”.
Upgrade of the Seversk CHPP is being performed by AO “Rusatom Infrastructural Solutions”. During the technical refurbishment, two turbine units will be replaced, which have worked over 65 years in the plant, two new boiler units will be installed, and eight Stage 2 boiler units with the auxiliary equipment will be upgraded. As a result, by 2025, Seversk will have 
more space efficient and capacity efficient CHPP, which will significantly improve power and heat supply for the consumers.
The Severskaya CHPP is one of the largest power facilities in the Tomsk Region located near the Siberian Chemical Plant. The CHPP was commissioned in stages in 1953-1961. It produces heat and electricity for the needs of the plant and a closed administrative and territorial formation (CATF) Seversk. The CHPP power is 449 MW, and heat power is 1,713.8 Gcal/hr.
