COTES has completed detailed design and commenced field supervision of the construction of SRB-4 in Ust-Ilimsk

COTES Engineering has completed the development of detailed design for SRB-4 under the project Construction of Pulp and Cardboard Mill in Ust-Ilimsk. The works have been performed since 2019 by a team of COTES designers who have already had the experience with the PCM facilities. The COTES scope included the design of auxiliary equipment (system for pure condensate collection, diesel utilities) as well as reinforced concrete foundations and boiler cell floors. Moreover, the COTES team has issued additional fire protection sets as well as automatic and water fire extinguishing. COTES has also provided the supply of media from the intershop utilities side with the analysis of connection parameters, during which the need to refine the black oil supply system was identified (installation of heat exchangers, pumping and
other equipment); the works are still ongoing. Moreover, the analysis of connection parameters for chemically treated and packing water is being performed.
From May 2021, at the construction site of SRB-4, a COTES Engineering field supervision team has been present, including a process engineer, a builder, and a HVAC specialist; electrician and process engineers come to the site as required. The soda recovery boiler No. 4 startup has been planned for March 2022.
