COTES discussed its participation in the modernization of the energy sector of Uzbekistan

COTES took part in a meeting of the largest ministries and industrial facilities of Russia and Uzbekistan on cooperation in the energy sector. The meeting was held on July 30 via videoconference. Among the participants were the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, Russia was represented by the largest manufacturers of power equipment and energy generating companies, such as PJSC TGC-1, Inter RAO-Export, PJSC Power Machines, PJSC RusHydro, GC Tyazhmash, and also Association of Hydropower of Russia and Association for the Development of Renewable Energy. The participants discussed the prospects for the implementation of energy projects on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, the governments of the countries agreed on the fundamental points of their cooperation and outlined plans for further interaction.
