75th anniversary of the nuclear industry

August 20, 1945 became the starting point for the history of the Russian nuclear industry. On this day, a Special Committee under the State Defense Committee of the USSR was created, for managing the “atomic project” work, and also the First Main Directorate under the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR. The implementation of the Soviet “atomic project” made it possible to achieve nuclear parity with the United States in a short time, with preserving peace on our planet. Now our State Corporation ranks first in the world in terms of the portfolio of foreign projects. 36 power units in 12 countries are at various stages of implementation. COTES is also honored to jointly work on the project for the fuel and energy complex of Rosatom in Seversk.
