COTES engineers improve their qualifications on a “Modern pulp and paper industry technologies” course

The training was provided at the Higher School of Technologies and Power at the Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design, from April 15 to 19, 2019. A group of COTES Engineering specialists heard 32 hours of lectures given by the professors of the University and the KRONA Institute of Integral Development and Training. After successful testing, everyone was awarded with a qualification improvement certificate under the additional professional program “Modern Technologies in the Pulp and Paper Industry”.
Alongside the other course participants, our specialists took part in the two-day IX International Research-to-Practice Conference “Innovations in the Pulp and Paper Industry: Technologies and Equipment,” that was held at the University. Representatives of forestry complexes and pulp and paper industries, and suppliers of goods and services for the industry gathered to discuss modern technologies, quality problems, efficiency improvement and current technical issues.
In addition to the main training, the specialists of COTES Engineering worked alongside the professors of the Higher School of Technologies and Power. They considered new calculation methods for pulp and paper mill heat balance, and studied modern technologies in paper and cardboard manufacture in detail.
